VMess and VLESS are commonly found on V2Ray and Xray service pages. The protocol name is only the first detail to check: the client, transport, security settings, server location, and configuration format all need to match.
Understand the client requirements
Before creating an account, confirm that your app supports the protocol and transport shown on the server page. Apps such as v2rayNG, V2Box, Nekobox, and Clash-based clients may expose different import options and labels.
Compare transport and security fields
A VMess or VLESS account may use WebSocket, gRPC, TLS, Reality, or another supported transport. Read the complete configuration details and do not copy a value from a different protocol page just because the hostname looks similar.
Choose a country and host carefully
Start with a country that is practical for your route, then check whether the host is online and has available capacity. A second location is useful when the first host is busy or does not match your client.
Protect the generated configuration
UUIDs, private keys, and configuration links should be treated as credentials. Keep them out of public screenshots and regenerate them if they are accidentally shared.
